It is very beautiful and an excellent ring blank material. These blanks have not been acid etched, so you can do that to your liking. Rings are the standard 8 mm width. Damascus Steel has superior strength, hardness and resistance to shattering. It is somewhat prone to scratching and should not be exposed to salt water and harsh chemicals. Under normal conditions, it will not rust.
